Eligibility Criteria for CTET Primary Level I to IV 2024
- You must have completed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks.
- You should be either:
a. Passed or currently in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by any name), OR
b. Passed or currently in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). Or
- You should have completed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks.
- You should be either:
a. Passed or currently in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by any name), OR
b. Passed or currently in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
- These requirements are in line with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.

CTET 2024 Eligibility Criteria for Junior Level Paper II
- If you have completed Graduation and are either passed or currently in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by any name), you’re eligible.
- If you have at least 50% marks in either Graduation or Post-Graduation and are passed or currently in the final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), you’re eligible.
- If you have Graduation with at least 45% marks and are passed or currently in the final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), according to the rules set by NCTE, you’re eligible.
- If you have Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and are passed or currently in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed), you’re eligible.
- If you have Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and are passed or currently in the final year of a 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed, you’re eligible.
- If you have Graduation with at least 50% marks and are passed or currently in the final year of B.Ed. (Special Education), you’re eligible.
- Any candidate who has completed a B.Ed. Programme recognized by the NCTE can appear in TET/CTET.
- Additionally, according to the TET guidelines from NCTE, if you’re pursuing any teacher education courses specified in their notification, you’re also qualified to appear in TET/CTET.
- If you have Post-Graduation with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade and are passed or currently in the final year of a three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed program, you’re eligible.

How to fill out the CTET July 2024 exam online form
- The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for Paper I to V & VI to VIII exams in July 2024. You can apply online from March 7, 2023, to April 2, 2024.
- This year, there are limited exam centers in every city. You’ll see live information about available centers while filling out the form. It’s recommended to apply early if you want a center closer to you, as slots for exam cities are limited.
- Before applying, make sure to read the notification for the July 2024 CTET exam.
- Candidate must Collect all necessary documents such as eligibility proofs, ID proof, address details, and basic information.
- Have scanned copies of required documents ready, including a photo, signature, and ID proof.
- Before submitting the application form, carefully review all the information in the preview and ensure all fields are filled correctly.
- If there’s an application fee, make sure to submit it. Your form won’t be completed without the required fees.
- Once you’ve submitted the form, take a printout of the final submitted version for your records.
